Field bus coupler extends PMA's rail line range

The devices of the rail line family offered by PMA Prozeß- und Maschinen-Automation in Kassel with a systems option:
- Transmitter UNIFLEX CI 45
- Universal controller KS 45
- Temperature limiter TB 45
can now be connected to field buses for an attractive price by means of a suitable coupler module.
The first available field bus coupler is the RL DP with Profibus-DP interface and DPV1 protocol
extension. Unit energization is provided by a centralized supply voltage, thus eliminating the
need for individual wiring. The coupler's BluePort® interface is not only used to configure the
system structure, but also to upload the Engineerings of every connected device. Moreover, the
BlueControl® Oprogramowanie has been expanded with a new interface option, so that it is now also
possible to exchange Engineering data via the Profibus.
Using the system versions of the relevant rail line devices, more than 60 units can be served
by a single coupler, thus enabling a highly cost-effective method of field bus connection to
be implemented. The individual modules operate independently, and in case of a fault they can
be replaced during operation (hot swap).
