The automation concept of "Generic Control Systems" is to combine the strengths of
specialized manufacturers to provide overall system solutions without interfacing
problems. From industrial I/O systems and PLC platforms up to complete process
management systems, Generic offer innovative solutions for modern plant and machine
engineering. A wide range of combination options without the proprietary limits
imposed by individual manufacturers permit an ideal selection of products for every
individual application. That is how truly competitive advantages are created.
Even though several product lines from various suppliers are used, there are no
integration problems: All Generic components are tested carefully for interoperability,
thus ensuring that they fit perfectly into the overall concept. Detailed product,
compatibility, and integration tests guarantee trouble-free operation of every Generic
system. As a consequence, the user is not bothered by interfacing or adaptation
problems, and he deals with just one responsible, single-source partner. The Generic
Systems Competence Center is headquartered at PMA in Kassel.
