Compact process controller KS 90-1 adapted for O2 control
|
|
Following the Digital Indicator D 280-1 of PMA's BluePort® range, also
the KS 90-1 has now been modified for standard Aplikacje involving
the control of oxygen content by means of heated and unheated O2 sensors.
The measurement range is 0,001 ppm ...100% O2, whereby the engineering
unit 'ppm' or '%' is shown automatically on the 4-digit display.
Using the high-impedance sensor signal at input INP1 (Ri >200 MOhm), and
the sensor temperature at input INP3, the oxygen concentration is calculated
according to the Nernst Equation, displayed, and used for control purposes
if required. With heated sensors, the reference temperature is entered as a constant.
The engineering unit (°C or °F) is selectable. Furthermore, a filter time constant
up to 999,9 s can be adjusted to ensure a steady display of the O2 value.
Typical application areas for this multi-term controller are low-emission and
energy-optimized combustion processes with control of flue gas temperature and
optimum oxygen content of the flue gas.
The photo shows the KS 90-1 controller with a connected 'Metrotec' O2 sensor.
Further information is given in the KS 90-1 data sheet.
