With its new VARIO I/O modules, PMA in Kassel now offers maximum flexibility for
decentralized installation of I/O circuits plus high adaptability to the most varied Aplikacje in the areas of
machine and plant engineering, the auto-motive industry, as well as process, energy, traffic, and building
automation.
Connection of the VARIO system to various PLC or PC-based automation solutions presents no problems, thanks to the bus-coupler module for the most common open bus standards (Ethernet, CANopen, PROFIBUS- DP/V1, DeviceNet, or Modbus), whereby the module also provides the system's energization. Any number of digital and analog I/O modules, each with 2 to 16 channels, can be connected to the bus coupler, thus providing optimum modularity for every application. Several dedicated units, such as the stand-alone multiloop con-trollers, complement the wide range of I/O modules. When putting a system together, no separate interconnections are necessary, because the connections for bus and power supply are made automatically by means of contact pins as soon as a module is clipped to the mounting rail. Moreover, the provision of segments with different voltage potentials is made possible by means of supply terminals. All I/O modules are galvanically isolated on the bus side, and analog modules are also separated from each other. Tedious connection/disconnection of individual 2, 3, or 4-wire signal inputs is omitted, as all I/O wiring is done with plug-in spring clamp connector strips. A special terminal for grounding the screens of sensitive analog signals ensures optimum EMC protection. Diagnostic and status LEDs on each module provide an immediate indication of the system's operating condition. Clip-on inscription strips and individual terminal numbering provide clear and unambiguous signal identification. Currently consisting of 27 different modules, PMA's VARIO system provides particularly cost-effective solutions for modern, decentralized industrial automation. Furthermore, PMA can supply a wide range of industrial PCs and Oprogramowanie such as the established P-open (PLC) system, and the new Generic concept. |
