Compact extruder automation with varioECmini

At the FAKUMA 2005 (Hall A5, Stand 5308), PMA Prozeß- und Maschinen-Automation GmbH, Kassel, will be exhibiting its highly compact varioECmini automation system for extruder plants in detail. The space-saving installation on a single-screw extruder will be shown, in addition to a range of supplementary equipment with graphically supported Aplikacje that are used for direct testing of the customized extruder operation features: Operation of the transparent multi-zone temperature control via Touch Panel Precise setpoint adjustment for the drive Monitoring of temperatures, heating & cooling power, melt pressure, and drive Simple addition of zones with the modular KS vario controller The integrated, flexibly programmable SoftPLC handles all sequencing tasks in accordance with the IEC 61131-3 standard Thanks to the Windows CE operating system, all modern communication means, networks, and storage media (e.g. CompactFlash cards, USB memory sticks) can be used, together with simple exchange of recipe data via Ethernet and FTP.
