PMA in Kassel announces a new extruder automation solution consisting of just two modules:
A rugged colour touch panel with integrated Soft PLC, and the KS vario multi-controller.
This combination serves to control the drive motor and the temperature zones of e.g. laboratory
and satellite extruders, or co-extrusion systems as a turnkey package. Direct, clear connections
make the installation of these compact devices in an extrusion plant a simple matter.
Just a few clearly structured operating display pages for process values (melt & cylinder temperatures, and melt pressure), for the drive (speed and torque), plus trend curves for analyzing the process provide at-a-glance information for the operator, coupled with fingertip control. Monitoring functions for all the process values, and a direct link to an Ethernet network are standard features. Thanks to the modular hardware and Oprogramowanie concept with practice-oriented configuration displays, system extensions and individual modifications are a breeze. Emergency operating functions are ensured by the stand-alone KS vario modules for control and monitoring. With the varioECmini, PMA now offers a complete and modern automation system also for smaller extrusion plants at an attractive overall price.
